World Jazz Drumming with Mark Walker Wednesday, April 15th – 5:30 PM
Mark gave an incredible clinic, who teaches at Berkelee School of Music in Boston. Mark plays with the group Oregon, and Paquito D'Rivera. Mark got into intense techniques and very subte concepts of rhythm, dynamics and style. His performance at Jazz Alley with Oregon later that evening was equally intense. Thanks to all that participated, and to Yamaha, Paiste, Remo, Vic Firth and LP for sponsoring the event.

Finishing up the spring series was none other than Dave Samuels, the No 1 mallet player in the land! Dave is as much a therapist as player. He brings everyone in to the clinic, both through dialogue and asking students to play with him! The level of artistic musicianship, musical development, and intense committment to quality is as high as any musician in the world. If Dave is in your area, DO NOT MISS HIM! His performance at Jazz Alley with the Carribean Jazz Project was equally intense. What a show!
